From the moment we entered into the lobby of Ocean Key Resort, there was a relaxed atmosphere that immediately put us at ease.
The Suite was beautiful and the colours were calming. The colourful painted wardrobes added just the right eclectic flavour to make this experience truly unique. It really was all in the details.
The large balcony afforded us some of the best views on the island. At one end, you overlooked Duval Street and the other end you overlooked the water.
Even though the living room and dining room were nice to have, we admittedly didn’t really use them as the weather was so beautiful that we spent most of our time outdoors.
Have breakfast at least once at the Hot Tin Roof, where you have to order the grilled grapefruit which became my favourite. Grab a table by the railing for a great view of Tank Island (AKA Sunset Island) where many celebrities have a vacation home.
The bar on the pier gives you the best advantage point for the best sunsets you will ever see, hence the name “Sunset Pier“. It didn’t necessarily have the best food or drinks, but the sunset and live music more than made up for it.
