After exploring the old part of Istanbul and Cappadocia, we were in need of a couple of days of relaxation. After much research on Trip Advisor, we chose the coastal town of Bodrum.
Most often you associate white and blue with Greece, but we were pleasantly surprised to find this same relaxed feel in Bodrum as well. The vibrant colours of the Bougainvillea just added to the many colours on the streets.
The water of the Aegean Sea was a deep blue, offsetting the amazing views of the Bodrum Castle.
We only had a couple days in Bodrum, so we did not have any planned activities. We enjoyed popping into the little market shops, strolling along the waterfront and watching the many yachts and sail boats.
We had lunch sitting beside the water, and then dinner at a table on the beach. We even popped in to a local Starbucks for a refreshing cold drink to cool off.
More colourful doors down every alley way.
And I couldn’t leave this post without a view of the harbour from our hotel, El Vino Hotel. Absolutely stunning!
